It depends on the job — a straightforward rekey is very different from opening a jammed safe. What we can promise is how pricing works: we quote before we work, the quote is the price, and there are no after-the-fact “service fees.” That’s been our policy for 75+ years. Beware of any locksmith advertising a too-good-to-be-true price — that’s the classic bait-and-switch setup in this industry.
Yes. We cut and program transponder keys, laser-cut keys, and remote fobs for most makes and models — usually for less than the dealership and often the same day. Bring your registration and photo ID; we verify ownership before originating any automotive key.
If your locks are in good mechanical shape, rekeying is usually the smart choice: we reset the pins so old keys stop working, and you keep your existing hardware. Replacement makes sense when locks are worn, damaged, or you want to upgrade security. We’ll tell you honestly which one your doors need.
Rekey everything. You have no idea how many copies of your keys exist — previous owners, contractors, neighbors, agents. One visit makes every old key dead. It’s the single highest-value security step for a new homeowner.
Yes — walk in and see us at 1804 Colfax Street in downtown Concord, across from the Sugar Plum Diner. Family-owned since 1947, three generations. We’re not a call center that dispatches whoever’s nearby, which is how most locksmith scams work.
Three things: a real local address you could walk into, a quote given before the work starts, and a technician who arrives in a marked vehicle with credentials. If any of those is missing, hang up — even if it’s not us you call instead.

Yes — our shop doubles as a safe showroom: gun safes, fire safes, drop safes, and home safes you can open and compare in person. We deliver, install, and service what we sell.
Almost always. Most smart-lock problems are actually door problems — alignment, backset, worn hardware — and fixing doors is our trade. We service keyless hardware we sold and hardware we didn’t.
